CEC Taiwan Business Division (TBD) has won the new residential complex contract from KaiCheng Construction. The project is a part of the biggest urban renewal project ever developed by New Taipei City Government, with construction site area totaling 10,374.23 m2. CEC is responsible to build three green buildings of 28~29 floors with six levels below ground. The total floor area is 110,496.23 m2.
The site, located in Yonghe district of New Taipei City, Taiwan, is surrounded by old houses and narrow alleyways, hence minimizing disruptions to the area, achieving CEC’s “Zero Incident” safety goal, keeping construction quality, and completing the work on time become key challenges. The top-down construction technique will be used, and depth of excavation will be 22.6 meters (GL-22.6M). The value of the contract was approximately US$ 140.46 million (NT$4.625 billion), and it is expected to be completed in 40 months, by 2019.
