We are pleased to announce that CEC received the Letter of Award from Macau Special Administrative Region’s Transportation Infrastructure Office for the award of Macau Light Rail Project Phase 1 C360 Cotai Section. This is a significant step for CEC overseas market, we have also made another advance in the Hong Kong and Macau Region following the award of Hong Kong Harbour Treatment Scheme Stage 2A project.
This light rail project is awarded to the CEC (70%) led joint venture with Top Builders International (20%), and Ng Kam Kee Construction (10%). The award price is MOP815,004,305 (approximately NT$3.097 billion). The contract includes the construction of viaduct and 4 LRT stations between the Rua do Pai Kok and East Cotai. Planned construction period is 1021 days. With the completion of this LRT section, it will service the residents of Nova Zona of Taipa, as well as enable the public to gain access to the facilities in and around Macao East Asian Games Dome and to participate in cultural events.
CEC Macau Branch Office is responsible for this project. CEC HK Branch and Taipei HQ will support fully to ensure the project to complete on time, with quality, and within budget.
