Mr. Jim Gainsford was appointed Managing Director of CEC International Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (CIMY), effective from March 11, 2014. He is in charge of business development, operations management, and the growth and profitability of the organization.
Mr. Gainsford is a civil engineer with extensive international construction experience, during which he has been active at a senior level in building a number of major infrastructure projects, including seven years on Taiwan’s High Speed Railway. Since then Mr. Gainsford spent six years with CEC, initially working for four years in India to assist with various projects, and lead the Technical, Estimating and Business Development Division in successful bidding for work in India. From September 2011 to March 2014, Mr. Gainsford served as Regional Director of the International Business Division, based in CEC Taipei headquarters. During this time he led the successful procurement of a tunneling and underground station contract on the Klang Valley Metro Project in Kuala Lumpur for CIMY in CEC’s newest Region, Malaysia.
